At Home Facial: Arbonne’s RE9 Anti-Aging Skincare Review
Professional facials can get expensive. I go every so often just to do extractions, but I try to do as my upkeep by myself as I can. I remember the first time I got a facial in LA. My esthetician said that my pores were clogged and asked if I exfoliate. I said, “I do. I use St. Ive’s Apricot Scrub”. He looked at me, shocked and said, “girl, the only thing that stuff is suitable is feet.” He went on to tell me that it’s too coarse for your face, and does more damage than good. A good exfoliator will have a very fine grit to it and should be used 3x a week. He also suggested cleansing twice a day and using a toner, serum, and day and night creams. While the investment of all these different products are costly at first, they’ll save you in the long run, so that’s what I did!
I have combination skin; I’m also 30, which means I’m really careful about sun exposure and making sure I slow down the appearance of aging. I was given a mini facial sample of Arbonne’s RE9 line back in March, and with the exception of mixing in some of their FC5 products, have been using it exclusively. My skin is clear, soft, and evenly toned. My pores are less clogged, and it’s even reduced the appearance of little fine lines I was starting to see around my eyes and forehead. Overall, this line has been a win for me! What’s also great about it is all of Arbonne’s products are vegan and non-gmo. It takes 20 seconds for whatever you put on your skin to end up in your bloodstream. Scary, right? It makes a switch in products worth it– for me at least.
It’s important to know what a company formulates their products with, but it’s equally as important to know what they don’t use. Arbonne formulates without animal products or by-products | artificial flavors | artificial sweeteners | benzene | bisphenol-a | carbon black | formaldehyde-donating preservatives | hydroquinone | mineral oil | parabens | petrolatum | phthalates | sodium laureth sulfates (SLES) | sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) | synthetic dyes | talc | triclosan | triethanolamine (TEA) And so much more …
The RE9 Advanced Skincare Set comes with Smoothing Facial Cleanser, Regenerating Toner, Intensive Renewal Serum, Corrective Eye Cream, Night Repair Cream, and Restorative Day Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen.
