It might still be 80 degrees in Los Angeles, but that’s not stopping me from putting on dark chocolate knee high boots and having an iced pumpkin spice latte… I LOVE fall fashion. It starts to get a little snuggly and the rich earth tones really encapsulate the season. I wanted to show you how you can style some fall looks and till bring in pops of unexpected color. These are some fall looks and color schemes I came up with.
A good, dark boot cut jean or skinny jean is perfect for the season. They’ll work with tall boots or booties. Long duster sweaters are coming back in season and aztec prints are transitioning from a summer favorite to a fall staple. This look is casual, yet tied together. The knotted pink tee is an unexpected pop of color among the navy blue, grey, and orange. While it seems a little out there, it works. A simple, brown beaded layer necklace compliments the camel colored boots.
Since it’s still so warm, I can get away with a short sleeved dress. The color combo in this look screams fall. A dress or a skirt that falls just above the knee creates a flirty look when paired with a knee high boot. Dark teal, maroon, and chocolate brown create a warm, rich pallet that is pleasing to the eye. Something about it reminds me of being in the woods among fall foliage.
This unique jacket was a Marshall’s find. Interestingly enough, the ads I saw on social media had 100’s of comments about how ugly it was. I think it’s adorable. The bell sleeve is all the rage this fall, and like the look above, the aztec print is bold and dominant. The bright teal is a happy dose of color against the earthiness of the olive green and chocolate. This jacket is my fall statement piece.
Some other fun color ways! Even though fall is the season of earth tones, don’t be afraid to be colorful. Black, teal, and orange give a Halloween vibe, while Plum, Maroon, Teal, and Rust Orange are reminiscent of fall foliage. What are your fall go-tos? Do you keep it neutral or go bold?

Dark skinny jeans are my go to in the fall (and winter!). They are such an important staple in my wardrobe.
these are such cute outfits! I’m always looking for inspo for fall outfits!
Plum is one of my favorite fall colors. I like that sweater you have on in the first pic!
I love all of these looks and color schemes. Fall is my favorite time of year for fashion and color. I really love the first outfit, both the style and the colors.
I am in love with all of these looks and colors. Boots are my regular go-to and what I love most about fall.
Oh, I think the jacket is cute regardless of the comments! These are all great looks. I love Fall fashion.
The Marshall’s jacket you found was so cute! It’s definitely unique and I think creating some earthy looks with it would be fun.
I love these outfits! Leggings and cardigans are definitely my go-to’s. I usually stick with neutral colors.
I’m in the market for a new pair of boots, I really want dark brown. I usually go for black but I want to mix it up
I’m with you – I love love love the jacket. I love detailed embellishments. I also love the duster look. I’m too short to pull it off effectively, but it looks great on you. I don’t think it will get warm enough here in Florida to get any heavier-weight than that, though.
I really like that dress. I live in Florida and it is sweltering here so like you said, it screams fall but is still cool/
Too cute. I like all the looks but really like the jacket with the jeans. You always look so beautiful.
Teal and maroon are a great color combination, not only for clothes but home decoration as well! I have a hard time with skinny jeans, I feel I’m too short and too curvy for them, still, been in love with how ankle boots and skinny jeans look like, I so want to be brave and try it!
I just love the fall color palates. Navy orange and grey could be my new fave!
