No-Bakes_Chocolate Protein Energy Balls - Nikki Nurtures RecipeI definitely have a sweet tooth and because I watch how much sugar I consume, I always try to find recipes that will curb my sweet tooth without derailing my nutrition. What I love about these protein balls is that they’re great right before or after the gym or if you want something sweet after dinner. Full of complex carbs, protein, healthy fats and natural sugars, these sweet treats are perfect for restoring muscles AND boosting energy. Plus, they’re super easy to make.

Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

2/3 dark chocolate chips

1 tablespoon chia seeds

1/2 cup grated apple (I prefer Fujis)

1/2 cup ground flax seed

1 serving ALOHA Chocolate Protein (my favorite) or Preferred Brand

1/3 cup honey or agave

1/2 cup nut butter of your choice

Preparation

1. First, mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl, then add the wet. Combine Well.

2. Scoop out about 2 TBSP and roll it into balls.

3. Place in either your fridge or freezer (I like the freezer best, they don’t actually freeze solid)

4. An alternative is to flatten out the mixture in a baking sheet and make bars, but balls are so much more fun (that’s what she said)
