I believe that the part of us that feels joy or sorrow is our soul and not our mind. Your mind can be happy or sad, but at some point, it’s your soul or spirit that truly feels all the feelings. Connecting to your soul is as important as keeping your body and mind happy. Your soul is essentially everything that you are and everything that you will be. We’re all made of stardust and to truly honor ourselves we have to learn to get back to nature and back to consciousness. No more milling around fromday to day. Start connecting.

You may have to try a few things before you know what truly connects you toyourself. For me, it’s hikes, putting my bare feet in the grass or ocean, journaling or taking a shower in candlelight. All of these things let my mind wander from themundane to the deepest parts of my soul. There, my intuition becomes stronger and I am able to tap into what I really need in life.

Here are a few things you can try to help you connect:

Hikes
Journaling
Nature Guided Meditation
Yoga
Art (don’t knock those adult coloring books)
Hot Shower or Bath at the end of the day
Star gazing

They all seem so simple but truly help you become more conscious.
When you let your mind wander, ask yourself these questions:

What is working in my life?
Why?
What is not working in my life?
Why?
What am I truly meant for?
How can I achieve my goals?
What do I need for true happiness?
